Marion County Youth Job Fair set for April 29
Free event helps businesses meet and hire ‘next generation’ workforce

OCALA, Fla. (April 10, 2025) – CareerSource Citrus Levy Marion and Marion County Public Schools will co-host the area’s Youth Job Fair on Tuesday, April 29 from 3:30-6 p.m. at the Southeastern Livestock Pavilion Auditorium, 2232 NE Jacksonville Road in Ocala.

Exclusively for 16-to-24-year-olds, the job fair is for first-time job seekers as well as future high school and post-secondary graduates seeking full- or part-time employment, whether permanent, temporary, or just for the summer.

There is no charge to attend, but job seekers are asked to register in advance at bit.ly/YOUTHJOBFAIR2025. While MCPS is co-hosting the event, it is open to older youth/young adults from Citrus and Levy counties as well.

Dale French, executive vice president for CareerSource CLM, said that last year the event, which got its start in 2014, attracted more than 250 older youth and young adults. Participants had the opportunity to meet with hiring managers from a variety of area businesses all with multiple positions to fill.

“Many young candidates left with an interview scheduled or a job secured,” French said. “This really is the top opportunity for those 16-to-24 who are interested in landing their first job, earning more work experience or embarking on a career.”

French said the annual job fair is also a boon to employers who want to build their talent pipeline, he said.

“There’s no better way for area businesses to meet and hire their ‘next generation’ workforce,” he said, adding that “the young job seekers who attend this event are typically eager to learn about local opportunities, excited to earn a paycheck, and ready to get to work.”

To date, the following businesses are scheduled to take part: AdventHealth, AutoZone Retail, Bridgewater Park Health and Rehabilitation, Chick-fil-A, Colen Built Development, Cone Distributing, Comfort Keepers, Eckerd Connects Workforce Development, E-ONE/REV Group, Evergreen Private Care, FedEx, Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches (Camping Services), HCA Florida Ocala Hospital and West Marion Hospital, Heart of Florida Health Center, iServ, Maricamp Animal Hospital, Marion County Board of County Commissioners, Rank Quality Restaurants (McDonald’s), The Vines Hospital, and World Equestrian Center.

There is no charge for businesses interested in participating in the job fair and a limited number of spots are still available. To register, learn more – or to place job orders if unable to attend – call the CareerSource CLM business development team at 352-873-7955 or 800-746-9950.

Job candidates planning to attend should bring printed copies of their resume and should dress appropriately – no flip-flops or casual sandals, T-shirts with profane or obscene language or images, no shorts or jeans with rips or holes, or any article of clothing that is too tight, too short or revealing.

Those interested in developing or updating resumes, working on interview skills and/or receiving job fair preparation tips are encouraged to visit one of CareerSource CLM’s career centers located at 2703 NE 14th St., in Ocala; 683 S. Adolph Point, in Lecanto; and 2175 NW 11th Dr., in Chiefland. The centers are open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and all job candidate services are available at no charge.
